Sometimes I get a little too in-my-head about which songs to post on TMIS. Case in point, I've been sitting on this track by Dominican-American George Lewis, Jr (aka Twin Shadow) this whole time, waiting for a new release, or to decide on a song from his more recent album at least. But that's just silly when "Five Seconds" is a classic fave that deserves to be here. It really sounds like classic wave, too - love that melancholy chord over the chorus.

They've got a fairly classic pop sound, complete with jangly guitars, smooth, catchy vocals, and finger-snapping percussion.

We flew into Austin this morning, from Miami, and Kerri dropped me straight off at work, ready to rock and roll. Was such a great weekend. Looking forward to another visit. You might be asking what the devil that has to do with today's Most Important. Well, Toro y Moi's new cut, "Mirage", has a funky vibe that feels perfect for art deco, dancing, palm trees, and beaches.

There've been a few interesting songs coming out of this Icelandic collaboration, the most recent being "Citrus Light", an ethereal, melodic number that seems perfect to fall asleep, or wake up to.
