The Go! Team are such a fun group, they totally earn that exclamation point in their name. A sis-piece band out of Brighten, England that likes to mix genres such as garage rock, Bollywood, old school hip hop, and, in the case of this album, a high school marching band. I'm so happy our cool friend Karin introduced me to their music recently. Spotify compares them to another exclamation point using band: Los Campesinos! as well as the Tune-Yards, Of Montreal, Dream Wife, and Broken Social Scene... I think you have to name a whole lot of other bands, throw them in a bag and shake it up to get this unique mix. Like I said, fun!
We Are Scientists - No Wait at Five Leaves
We Are Scientists are one of my favorites, and while I've not really been hooked by their last couple releases, I've always enjoyed them. Their latest album, Megaplex, is a little bit of a throwback to either earlier sound and, as such, I'm hooked.

Lola Marsh - Wishing Girl
Here's a delightfully peppy tune to start your week off right. Lola Marsh is an Israeli duo we serendipitously discovered during SXSW, while simply ducking into the Swan Dive for a drink between must-see acts on our agenda. Her live energy immediately infected me with just the right verve to dance instead of rest, and made me remember to expect more such revelations throughout the week, or just maybe always around the corner.

VHS Collection - Sign
We've taken a long break from blogging so I have quite a backlog on my intending-to-post list. I've been listening to this track since November 2017 (that seems ages ago, yeah?) but now is a perfect time to share, since VHSC have just released their next new single ("One"). They're touring CA and the NE this summer. First ever full album dropping later this year! Anyhoooo, happy practically-weekend and I'm making a public promise to post at least weekly again going forward.

Unlikely Friends - All the Cameras in Japan
We're still getting into the swing of regular life after SXSW. It was terrific, as per the usual, and we'll have some tuff to share soon. In the meantime, enjoy this peppy, poppy, summery cut from Unlikely Friends, a PacNW band who reminds me of Library Voices and Seattle summers.
