Mount Kimbie and King Krule - Blue Train Lines

| Keith
Six pounds in my pocket
I threw another man's change
Lose another man's six
I guess he might have seen it all

I've been wanting to share this one for a couple weeks now, but it's been too damn sunny and hot here in Austin, Texas. 'Blue Train Lines" is a powerful sound from post-dubstep duo Mount Kimbie. They're here doing their thing, but the real highlight are the gritty, snarling vocals of Archy Marshall, aka King Krule (yeah, the Donkey Kong villain). It's a song best reserved for nighttime, rain and maybe subway trains. It's a dark and stormy day here in Austin, so this will do just fine. If you like this check out "Easy, Easy" and the rest of King Krule's stuff.

Good Old War - Part of Me

| Keith
We've got to run
If you're holding on the seams will come undone
And you'll only get part of me
We don't want to catch a break while we're playing it safe
You'll only get part of me

File this new cut from Good Old War under "mellow" and then hit play. Good Old War has had a few songs cross my radar over the last couple years, and I recently heard of them again as they were the backing effort to Anthony Green's (of Circa Survive) tour, which seemed a bit odd at first, but after some listening, ok a lot of listening, began to make sense. "Part of Me" is a pretty song and perfect for a chill Sunday morning.

The Polish Ambassador - Take Wing

| Keith

Now here's an interesting track for your Saturday. It's an upbeat instrumental number from DJ/Producer David Sugalski, AKA The Polish Ambassador, and it could work either as a wake-up or a warm up. It's versatile like that. If you enjoy it, you'll probably dig the rest of his latest release, The Color of Flight, which mixes eclectic sounds, inventive melodies with some really sweet beats.

Land of Talk - This Time

| Keith
Together we rock, together we roll
Finding ourselves is taking its toll
Hear it on the cold wind of this town
I'm never going back, that's a lonely road

Land of Talk's Elizabeth Powell has a little bit of an Amiee Mann vibe going on "This Time", a nice track of their new album, Life After Youth. It's nice and cool, especially for a Sunday morning. I first discovered Land of Talk with their terrific single "Some Are Lakes", if you like today's Most Important, you should give that, and the rest of their work, a listen.

Cut Copy - Airborne

| Keith
Midnight’s crazy when you’re down
Plant your tears in the ground
Dream plantations slowly grow
Until they cover your sorrow

Let's keep the smooth, mellow and funky going with the new single from Cut Copy. This is pretty classic Cut Copy, with a polished, upbeat lounge vibe that's perfect for chair wiggling.
